She was convinced to sneak out of school that rainy 16th of May to meet up with some older acquaintances and one friend, all from other schools. I can only guess that she felt triumphant, speeding off in the back seat of Erin Leith’s car.
Torri’s life was taken so suddenly and unexpectedly that her time was frozen in paper and digital forms. Archeology on the web, in her computers, cameras, cell phones, journals, sketch pads and photographs keep the connection alive. It keeps me searching for more of her, and the imaginings of who we would be now as mother and daughter, or…
This video was one of the earlier finds, and a talent so well developed that in time she would have come to share it more publicly. It is a tribute to her friendships and how deeply she felt.
